Convocations - Page 22

Here is the first combo (of sorts) illustrated by Chrysoula Artemis-Gomez to incorporate a third card in such a prominent fashion. One card is from Arabian Nights, the second part of the combo and the third card in the illustration are from Beta. Can you guess the combo?

Did you guess it?

Even though Craw Wurm takes up the most real-estate in the image, it's not actually a part of the combo. It's just that Sorceress Queen and Lightning Bolt need a creature to target for them to be considered a combo at all, and a nice classic was chosen.

Here's another piece that I'm not fond of. I'm not fond of the changes to the Sorceress Queen, I'm not fond of how her magic is depicted, I'm not fond of how tiny the lightning bolt is because it makes it feel like it's an insignificant part of the background and not part of the combo, and I'm not fond of both how the Craw Wurm has no scales and is still giant sized since this should be a select moment when the combo is in action. Oh, and let's not forget the vast empty space in the center and how the style isn't my cup o' tea. The best I can say is that I enjoy the primary colors of the piece.
